Happiness
Dr. Blose believes that personal happiness is the goal of everyone's life. Everything you do is done because we believe that it will bring us more happiness than if we didn't do it.
So why are so few people really happy? It is mainly due to not following the following happiness rules.
Happiness Rules:
- Focus on the positive
- Gratitude – for the good things we have
- No criticizing, complaining or comparing ourselves to others
- A. Have many interests and passions
B. Add as much fun as possible to work, chores and other obligations
- Decisions
A. Will all this bring me more happiness in the long term or less?
B. Everything has a prize (goals, possessions, jobs, relationships). Is it worth the prize?
Prescription For A Happy Life:
- Fun – Sex, Drugs and Rock & Roll!
- Contentment
- A. Comfort – Home, Car, Financial Security
- B. Loving Relationships with family, friends and God.
- C. Personal Growth
- D. Contribution To Others
